Moral Policing In India

Hi To All Indians,

I always wanted to express something about the "Secularism" in India. In my opinion our's is the most secularly polarised country, ofcourse due to the 'political pampering'.

1. We want equality but divide the society based on Reservations.
2. We are neutral (religiously) but always pamper the Minorities.

There are many instances about these points but the recent of all being is the Art Attack in India. There have been attacks on "The Great M.F.Hussain" and recently on the campus of the Arts College in Vadodara.

The reason is simple coz the artists are potraying the Gods and Goddesses in an art form that is not acceptable to common Indian(Hindus). So, if some group comes out in protest it is sentenced as 'Moral Policing'. It's against the Right for Expression. Rightly said, now can any one of those so called "artists" try and depict 'Allah' or 'Jesus' against their original depictions.

So, the point is anything that Hindus do in India defending thenselves in considered anti-social. Had the same thing occured with depicting any Minority God would have been an out cry by the same groups supporting the so called 'Anti-Moral Ploicing' would come up against the person or artist doing it.

Had this been the case even the Pope or the Mullahs would have come out all protesting and linking it to the Opression of minorities in India.

All in all this country is inhabited with 'Double Standard' rulers and thinkers!!
